What a Traditional Service Includes
A traditional funeral at Postell’s typically brings together a few key elements, arranged in whatever order and combination fits your family:
- Visitation or viewing — a time for family and friends to gather, pay respects, and share memories, held at our chapel or a location of your choosing
- The funeral ceremony — held in our chapel (seating up to 125 guests), at your church, or graveside, with readings, music, and remarks chosen by your family
- Procession and burial — a traditional cortege to the cemetery, followed by a graveside committal service
Making It Personal
A traditional service can be a solemn time of communal grieving, a joyful celebration of a life well lived, or — most often — both. Our staff will work with you on the details that make a service feel like your family’s own: photo displays, favorite music, military or fraternal honors, and readings from clergy, family, or friends.
Markers, Monuments, and What Comes After
Once the service is complete, our staff can help you select a headstone or marker and coordinate with the cemetery on placement — one less thing for your family to navigate on your own.
